Under Al-Sudairy’s leadership, the Kingdom has achieved tangible achievements in digital transformation, as the percentage of digital government services usage exceeded 80% by the end of the first quarter of 2024, according to a report by the General Authority for Statistics issued last month. The Kingdom’s ranking in the United Nations E-Government Development Index rose by 12 places in two years, to rank 38th globally.

“Investing in digital infrastructure and localizing advanced technologies is no longer a luxury, but a strategic necessity to build a sustainable knowledge economy,” Al-Sudairy stated during his speech at the Riyadh AI Forum in October. He added: “Initiatives such as the ‘Absher’ platform and ‘Citizen Account’ raised government spending efficiency by 30%, saving more than 5 billion riyals annually.”
