The ministry’s official spokesman, Eng. Al-Abdulkader emphasized that “Salem” seeks to enhance the efficiency of water resource utilization and rationalize their use in the agricultural sector through the adoption of modern irrigation techniques and organic farming.

The initiative relies on a number of development projects, including the establishment of grain silos and cold chains to preserve agricultural products, the launch of a support program for small farmers and livestock breeders, and the organization of specialized agricultural exhibitions. It also includes providing agricultural extension services and transferring modern technologies to farmers.

Al-Abdulkader pointed out that “Salem” comes as a continuation of the ministry’s efforts to promote agricultural investment and achieve self-sufficiency in agricultural crops, as well as increase the sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product.
