Riyadh Launches “Saudi Founding” to Empower Saudi Youth in the Job Market

The “Winter at Tantora” festival kicked off its fifth edition in AlUla on February 25, 2023, with wide participation from Saudi and Arab artists and creatives, as part of the Royal Commission for AlUla’s efforts to enhance the city’s status as a leading tourist and cultural destination.

The festival, running until March 11, features over 140 diverse events, including musical concerts, theatrical and artistic performances, creative workshops, and interactive activities for children and families. Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Governor of the Royal Commission for AlUla, emphasized that the festival aims to “highlight the unique cultural and natural heritage of the AlUla region and provide a platform for Saudi artists and creatives to express their talents and creativity.”

The opening ceremony featured a grand musical performance by the AlUla Symphony Orchestra and the Middle East Music Band, conducted by Spanish maestro Pablo Gonzalez. It also included spectacular fireworks displays and dazzling light shows on the historic rock facades of AlUla.

The Governor noted that the festival contributes to supporting the local economy and providing job opportunities for residents, with over 2,000 workers this year, the majority of whom are from AlUla.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of cultural and entertainment experiences, including visits to famous archaeological sites like Madain Saleh and Al-Hijr, participation in workshops to learn traditional handicrafts, and attending documentary film screenings at the open-air cinema.

The “Winter at Tantora” festival is part of a series of events organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla throughout the year, aiming to achieve Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of diversifying the economy and enhancing Saudi Arabia’s status as a global tourist destination.

ولد المغامسي في مدينة بريدة بالقصيم، وعُرف بإسهاماته المتعددة في مختلف المجالات الأدبية والثقافية. لقد كان رحمه الله نموذجاً للعالم الموسوعي الذي جمع بين علوم الشريعة واللغة والأدب، مما جعله مرجعاً علمياً وأدبياً في المنطقة.
خلال مسيرته الحافلة، أسهم المغامسي في تأسيس العديد من المشاريع الثقافية والتعليمية التي ساهمت في نشر المعرفة والوعي في المجتمع. كما عُرف بعلاقاته الواسعة مع علماء وأدباء عصره، مما ساهم في تبادل الأفكار والخبرات بين مختلف مناطق المملكة.
تُعد مكتبته الخاصة التي ضمت مئات المجلدات من أندر المخطوطات والكتب، واحدة من أبرز الإرث الفكري الذي تركه، حيث اتخذت منهلاً علمياً للباحثين والدارسين في المنطقة.
يُذكر أن المغامسي كان يولي اهتماماً خاصاً بتعليم الشباب، حيث كان يُقيم حلقات علمية ودروساً أسبوعية في المسجد، مما ساهم في تخريج جيل من العلماء والأدباء الذين حملوا راية العلم من بعده.
أثنى العديد من المعاصرين على شخصية المغامسي، ووصفوه بأنه كان متواضعاً ودوداً، يحب الخير للجميع، ويسعى دائماً لخدمة مجتمعه.
بحسب المؤرخين، فإن المغامسي قضى حياته في خدمة العلم والأدب، حتى وفاته التي خلفت فراغاً كبيراً في الساحة الثقافية بالقصيم. وقد خلّد اسمه في ذاكرة الأجيال، ليس فقط بما قدمه من إسهامات فكرية، بل أيضاً بأخلاقه وقيمه التي كان يحرص على غرسها في طلابه وتلاميذه.
اليوم، وبعد مرور سنوات على رحيله، لا تزال أعماله وكتبه مرجعاً مهماً لمن يرغب في التعرف على التراث الثقافي والأدبي لمنطقة القصيم، مما يؤكد أن إرثه العلمي ما زال حياً يلهم الأجيال الجديدة.

The third edition of the Dates Festival in Hail region was launched under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail, with the attendance of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, and several officials.

The festival, which runs until the end of November, aims to highlight the economic and social role of palm trees in the Kingdom and enhance Hail’s position as one of the most important date-producing regions in the country.

Minister Al-Fadley noted that the Kingdom produces about 1.5 million tons of dates annually, consuming 1.2 million tons locally, while the rest is exported to various countries worldwide.

Director of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Hail, Eng. Saleh Al-Mughamis, stated that Hail region has more than 5 million palm trees producing about 75,000 tons of dates annually. He added that the festival contributes to supporting farmers and marketing their products.

The festival, held at the Exhibition and Conference Center in Hail, witnessed a large turnout of visitors who learned about different types of dates and enjoyed accompanying activities, including folklore shows and heritage segments.

Al-Mughamis emphasized that the festival contributes to enhancing agricultural tourism in the region and opens new horizons for investment in the palm and dates sector, expecting this year’s festival to achieve great success, as in the previous two editions.

It is worth mentioning that Hail region is one of the most important palm cultivation areas in the Kingdom, characterized by a suitable climate and fertile soil, making it home to many farms producing the finest types of dates such as Khalas, Sukkari, Ruziz, and other distinguished varieties.

Al-Hilal Saudi Club secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Al-Ittihad in the 17th round of the Roshn Saudi League, maintaining their lead with 42 points.

The first half ended goalless, but Al-Hilal scored twice in the second half through Salem Al-Dawsari and Abdullah Al-Attif in the 74th and 90th minutes, respectively.

With this win, Al-Hilal extended their lead to 3 points over Al-Nassr, while Al-Ittihad remained fourth with 30 points.

Al-Hilal’s coach, Razvan Lucescu, praised his team’s performance, stating they deserved the win. Al-Ittihad’s coach, Nuno Santo, acknowledged Al-Hilal’s superiority and admitted his team was off-form.

Al-Hilal has been dominant this season with 13 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss, scoring 40 goals and conceding only 14. Al-Ittihad has 9 wins, 3 draws, and 3 losses, scoring 28 goals and conceding 15.

Al-Hilal will face Al-Nassr in the next round, while Al-Ittihad will play against Al-Fayha.

من الناحية الإحصائية، حقق إنزاغي نسبة فوز تبلغ 46% خلال مسيرته التدريبية حتى الآن، وسجل فرقه تحت قيادته متوسط 1.8 هدف في المباراة الواحدة. وقد قاد فرقه للفوز بـ3 ألقاب محلية ووصل إلى نصف نهائي الدوري الأوروبي مع بنفيكا عام 2020.

الرياض – توفي مساء أمس الاثنين الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ، عضو هيئة كبار العلماء في المملكة العربية السعودية، عن عمر ناهز 75 عاماً.
وشيع جثمان الفقيد عقب صلاة عصر اليوم الثلاثاء من مسجد الإمام تركي بن عبد الله بالرياض، حيث أم الصلاة عليه الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله آل الشيخ، مفتي عام المملكة.
وكان الفقيد قد ولد عام 1946 في مدينة الرياض، وحفظ القرآن الكريم في صغره، ثم التحق بمعهد الرياض العلمي، وبعد تخرجه عمل مدرساً في المعهد المذكور.
وفي عام 1992 صدر أمر ملكي بتعيين الشيخ صالح عضواً في هيئة كبار العلماء، وظل في هذا المنصب حتى وفاته، مقدماً إسهامات علمية ودعوية متميزة.
وقد نعى الديوان الملكي الفقيد، معرباً عن بالغ الحزن والأسى، سائلاً الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ويسكنه فسيح جناته.
وأعرب العديد من المسؤولين والعلماء والدعاة عن تعازيهم الحارة لأسرة الفقيد وللشعب السعودي، مثنين على مسيرته العلمية والدعوية المباركة.
رحم الله الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وألهم أهله وذويه ومحبيه الصبر والسلوان.
