المملكة تحتفل بيوم التأسيس: رحلة نحو مستقبل مشرق

في إطار الاحتفالات الوطنية التي تشهدها المملكة العربية السعودية، أقيمت فعاليات متنوعة بمناسبة #يوم_التأسيس، الذي يحتفل به في 22 فبراير من كل عام. يأتي هذا اليوم ليذكر بتاريخ تأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى على يد الإمام محمد بن سعود عام 1727 ميلادية.
وتزينت شوارع المدن والقرى السعودية بالأعلام الوطنية والأضواء الخضراء، فيما نظمت فعاليات ثقافية وترفيهية متنوعة للاحتفاء بهذه المناسبة الوطنية الغالية. وأعلنت الهيئة العامة للترفيه عن تنظيم عروض فنية وثقافية متنوعة في مختلف مناطق المملكة.
وقال الأمير فيصل بن بندر بن عبد العزيز، أمير منطقة الرياض، في تصريح له: “يوم التأسيس مناسبة عظيمة نستذكر فيها تاريخنا العريق ونستلهم منه العزيمة لمواصلة البناء والتنمية تحت قيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود وولي عهده الأمين صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبد العزيز.”
وأضاف الأمير فيصل: “يوم التأسيس يجسد عمق الجذور التاريخية للمملكة ويرسخ قيم الانتماء والولاء في نفوس الأجيال الجديدة.”
وتشير الإحصائيات إلى أن الاحتفالات بهذا اليوم شهدت مشاركة واسعة من مختلف فئات المجتمع السعودي. فقد تجاوز عدد المشاركين في الفعاليات المقامة في العاصمة الرياض وحدها أكثر من مليوني شخص خلال الأيام الثلاثة الماضية.
كما أظهرت البيانات الصادرة عن وزارة الثقافة ارتفاعاً ملحوظاً في مبيعات المنتجات التراثية والحرفية خلال فترة الاحتفالات، حيث سجلت زيادة بنسبة 35% مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من العام الماضي.
من جانبه، قال الدكتور عبد الله بن ناصر السدحان، أستاذ التاريخ بجامعة الملك سعود: “يوم التأسيس فرصة لتسليط الضوء على الإرث التاريخي والحضاري للمملكة، وتعزيز الوعي بأهمية الحفاظ على هذا الإرث للأجيال القادمة.”
وأضاف السدحان: “هذه المناسبة تعكس أيضاً مدى التطور والنمو الذي شهدته المملكة منذ تأسيسها، وما وصلت إليه من مكانة مرموقة على الصعيدين الإقليمي والدولي.”
يذكر أن الاحتفال بيوم التأسيس يأتي ضمن سلسلة من الفعاليات الوطنية التي تشهدها المملكة، والتي تهدف إلى تعزيز الهوية الوطنية وتعميق الانتماء للوطن لدى المواطنين.
وفي ختام الاحتفالات، أكدت وزارة الثقافة على استمرار تنظيم الفعاليات والبرامج التي تسلط الضوء على تاريخ وتراث المملكة، بما يسهم في تعزيز الوعي الوطني والفخر بالانتماء للوطن الغالي.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing widespread celebrations on the occasion of Founding Day, which falls on February 22nd each year, as the nation commemorates the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727.

On this precious national occasion, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, affirmed in a speech that “Founding Day represents the launch of a strong and firmly established state that has presented a unique model in governance, development, and prosperity.”

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also praised this occasion, saying: “We celebrate the anniversary of our great state, which was built on justice, strength, and pride, and we proudly recall the journey of our fathers and forefathers who laid the foundations of this blessed state.”

Statistics indicate that the Kingdom has witnessed remarkable development in various fields in recent years, with the gross domestic product reaching 2.97 trillion Saudi riyals in 2022, and the population reaching about 35 million.

The Ministry of Culture has launched numerous cultural and heritage events and activities on the occasion of Founding Day, including art exhibitions, heritage shows, and plays that highlight the Kingdom’s rich history.

The streets of Saudi cities are witnessing widespread popular celebrations, adorned with national flags and green lights in celebration of this precious national occasion.

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lost one of its most prominent religious scholars, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, at the age of 90. Born in Riyadh in 1933, Sheikh Saleh grew up in a family of scholars, with his father being one of the kingdom’s leading scholars and sheikhs.

Sheikh Saleh received his early education in Riyadh schools before enrolling in the College of Sharia in Mecca, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sharia. He continued his postgraduate studies at the Islamic University in Medina, obtaining a master’s degree in jurisprudence, followed by a doctorate in Islamic studies from Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

Throughout his illustrious career, Sheikh Saleh held numerous academic and religious positions. He worked as a teacher at the College of Sharia at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, later becoming the dean of the college. He also served as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia, a member of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Fatwas, and the president of the scientific council of the Muslim World League.

Sheikh Saleh was known for his vast knowledge and moderate fatwas, playing a significant role in promoting moderation and balance in Islamic thought. He authored numerous books and publications on jurisprudence, creed, and prophetic biography, with some of his most notable works being “The Major Rules of Jurisprudence” and “The Doctrinal Principles of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.”

In a 2018 statement, Sheikh Saleh said, “Islam is a moderate and balanced religion that calls for tolerance and peaceful coexistence among people, and fights extremism and excess in all their forms.”

Sheikh Saleh’s publications exceeded 50 books, in addition to hundreds of scientific lectures and lessons he delivered across the Muslim world. He received numerous awards and honors throughout his academic career, including the King Faisal International Prize in Islamic Studies in 2010.

Sheikh Saleh is considered one of the most prominent scholars who contributed to spreading Islamic knowledge and moderate thought in the kingdom and the Muslim world. He left behind a vast scientific legacy and students who benefited from his knowledge and jurisprudence in various parts of the world.

With the passing of Sheikh Saleh, the kingdom has lost one of its intellectual and religious icons, who dedicated his life to serving Islam and Muslims, and spreading moderation and balance in Islamic thought.
