The hashtag highlights the story of an elderly man facing financial difficulties and struggling to pay an electricity bill.

Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, stated that “the establishment of this company comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub and support achieving the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Services Strategy.”

  • “Foundation Day” .. A National Celebration of the Kingdom’s Ancient Roots

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing widespread celebrations today on the occasion of “Founding Day,” which falls on February 22nd each year, commemorating the anniversary of the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727.

Under the slogan “The Day We Began,” government and private entities are organizing diverse events across various regions of the Kingdom, including heritage, folkloric, and cultural performances, as well as fireworks displays and gift distributions to citizens.

In this context, Saudi Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, stated in a press interview: “Founding Day is a precious national occasion dear to our hearts, where we celebrate our deep-rooted heritage and glorious history, and remember the heroism and sacrifices of our fathers and grandfathers who established this blessed state.”

The Secretary-General of the National Committee for Celebrating Founding Day, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sabeel, noted that the celebrations include more than 3,000 events across various regions of the Kingdom, with 500 events in the capital, Riyadh alone.

Al-Sabeel added that the National Committee worked to organize diverse events befitting the status of “Founding Day,” reflecting the depth of the Kingdom’s historical and civilizational roots, and strengthening values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland among new generations.

This year’s celebrations come amid the exceptional circumstances faced by the Kingdom and the world due to the Corona pandemic, where events were organized according to the necessary precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

At the conclusion of the celebrations, Saudis affirm their pride in their deep-rooted heritage and history, their commitment to their wise leadership, and their determination to continue the path of construction, development, and progress that began three centuries ago and continues under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them both.
