في لفتة إنسانية مؤثرة، ودعت مدينة الرياض أحد أبنائها البارين، المواطن عثمان المغامسي، الذي وافته المنية صباح اليوم عن عمر ناهز 78 عاماً، تاركاً خلفه إرثاً غنياً من الخدمة والعطاء في ميادين العمل الوطني.
ولد المغامسي في حي الشميسي بالرياض عام 1946م، وشهدت حياته مسيرة حافلة بالإنجازات العلمية والمهنية. حصل على بكالوريوس الهندسة المدنية من جامعة الملك سعود عام 1970م، ليبدأ بعدها مسيرته المهنية في وزارة النقل، حيث شغل عدة مناصب قيادية حتى تقاعده عام 2006م.
خلال مسيرته المهنية، أشرف المغامسي على تنفيذ العديد من المشاريع الحيوية في المملكة، من أبرزها:
– شبكة الطرق السريعة بين المدن الرئيسية
– مطار الملك خالد الدولي بالرياض
– العديد من الجسور والأنفاق في العاصمة
