Al-Hilal Secures Hard-Fought Victory Over Al-Ittihad in Riyadh Derby

In an exciting match between the two giants of the Saudi capital Riyadh, Al-Hilal team managed to achieve an important victory over their traditional rival Al-Ittihad with a score of 2-1, within the 15th round of the Saudi Professional League.
The match, which was held at King Fahd International Stadium, witnessed a large attendance. Al-Ittihad took the lead first through their player Fahad Al-Muwallad in the 23rd minute, before Al-Hilal succeeded in turning the tables in the second half.
Al-Hilal’s goals were scored by Salem Al-Dawsari in the 54th minute, and Salem Al-Zahrani in the 78th minute, leading their team to achieve the valuable victory.
With this win, Al-Hilal raised their tally to 35 points at the top of the standings, while Al-Ittihad’s tally froze at 28 points in third place.

Al-Hilal coach Razvan Lucescu expressed his happiness with the victory, saying: “We presented a strong match against a stubborn competitor, I am happy with the fighting spirit shown by the players in the second half.”
On the other hand, Al-Ittihad coach Nuno Santo said: “The defeat is painful, especially after taking the lead, but we will return stronger in the upcoming matches.”
