“يوم التأسيس” .. احتفال وطني بجذور المملكة العريقة

تشهد المملكة العربية السعودية، اليوم، احتفالات واسعة بمناسبة “يوم التأسيس” الذي يوافق 22 فبراير من كل عام، وذلك إحياءً للذكرى السنوية لتأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى على يد الإمام محمد بن سعود عام 1727م.
وتحت شعار “يوم بدينا”، تنظم الجهات الحكومية والخاصة فعاليات متنوعة في مختلف مناطق المملكة، تشمل عروضاً تراثية وفلكلورية وثقافية، بالإضافة إلى إطلاق الألعاب النارية وتوزيع الهدايا على المواطنين.
وفي هذا السياق، قال وزير الثقافة السعودي، الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان آل سعود، في تصريح صحفي: “يوم التأسيس مناسبة وطنية غالية على قلوبنا جميعاً، نحتفي فيها بجذورنا العريقة وتاريخنا المجيد، ونتذكر فيها بطولات وتضحيات الآباء والأجداد الذين أسسوا هذه الدولة المباركة”.
من جانبه، أشار الأمين العام للجنة الوطنية للاحتفال بيوم التأسيس، الدكتور عبدالرحمن بن عبدالعزيز السبيّل، إلى أن الاحتفالات تشمل أكثر من 3 آلاف فعالية في مختلف مناطق المملكة، منها 500 فعالية في العاصمة الرياض وحدها.
وأضاف السبيّل أن اللجنة الوطنية عملت على تنظيم فعاليات متنوعة تليق بمكانة “يوم التأسيس”، وتعكس عمق الجذور التاريخية والحضارية للمملكة، وتعزز قيم الانتماء والولاء للوطن لدى الأجيال الجديدة.
يُذكر أن مجلس الوزراء السعودي كان قد أصدر قراراً في يناير 2021 باعتماد يوم 22 فبراير من كل عام إجازة رسمية باسم “يوم التأسيس”، وذلك تخليداً لذكرى تأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى على يد الإمام محمد بن سعود عام 1727م.
وتأتي الاحتفالات هذا العام في ظل الظروف الاستثنائية التي تمر بها المملكة والعالم جراء جائحة كورونا، حيث تم تنظيم الفعاليات وفق الإجراءات الاحترازية والوقائية اللازمة لضمان سلامة المواطنين والمقيمين.
وفي ختام الاحتفالات، يؤكد السعوديون اعتزازهم بجذورهم وتاريخهم العريق، وتمسكهم بقيادتهم الحكيمة، وعزمهم على مواصلة مسيرة البناء والتنمية والتقدم التي انطلقت قبل ثلاثة قرون، وما زالت مستمرة بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي عهده الأمير محمد بن سلمان – حفظهما الله -.

  • Riyadh to Host LEAP 2026 Global Technology Conference with Participation of Technology Leaders and Startups

    Riyadh, the Saudi capital, is preparing to host the fifth edition of LEAP 2026, one of the world’s leading tech conferences, from March 9 to 12, 2026, under the theme “Into New Worlds.”

    The conference comes at a time when the global tech sector is seeking new opportunities for growth, investment, and integration, with a focus on the role of innovation in shaping economies, sectors, and societies.

    The event will bring together leaders and experts from global and prominent companies, including Google, Amazon Web Services, Luma AI, Advanced Micro Devices, Qualcomm, Cisco, Lenovo, HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, Foxconn, and Cerebras Systems, alongside national companies such as STC, Aramco, Elm, Alat, and Humain.

    Maryam, aged 27, holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from King Saud University. She began her journey in the world of technology at a young age, where she enjoyed designing websites and developing applications.

    In 2022, Maryam participated in the “Special Needs Hackathon” organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). During this event, she presented the idea for the “Noor” application, which helps the visually impaired navigate independently within public buildings.

    “My goal with this application was to empower people with special needs and make their lives easier,” says Maryam. “I was inspired by a personal experience with one of my relatives who suffers from visual impairment.”

    The “Noor” application won first place in the competition and received widespread praise from the audience. It also attracted the attention of several major technology companies in the Kingdom.

    According to official statistics, there are more than 3 million people with special needs in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 aims to improve their quality of life and integrate them into society.

    Commenting on Maryam’s achievement, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabai’, advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said: “We are proud of our young talents who contribute to building a promising digital future for the Kingdom. Maryam is a role model for ambitious Saudi women.”

    Currently, Maryam is working on developing an advanced version of the “Noor” application in collaboration with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. She also plans to launch a startup specializing in developing technological solutions for people with special needs.

    “I aspire to be a role model for young Saudi women and encourage them to enter the field of technology,” Maryam concludes. “With knowledge and determination, nothing is impossible.”

    Maryam’s success comes at a time when the Kingdom is seeking to enhance the role of women in various sectors, especially in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. Her achievement is expected to inspire a new generation of Saudi innovators.

One of his students said, “Sheikh Saleh was an exceptional teacher, with an engaging style of explanation and delivery, always keen on connecting knowledge to practical reality.”

    Sheikh Saleh’s efforts were not limited to teaching alone; he also participated in many preaching and social activities and events, always striving to communicate with different segments of society and provide them with advice and guidance. One of his friends said, “Sheikh Saleh was an example of a sincere preacher, dedicating his efforts to spreading beneficial knowledge and guiding people.”

    On a personal level, Sheikh Saleh is described as a humble, tolerant man who loves goodness for all and always strives to reconcile disputes and resolve conflicts. One of his neighbors said, “Sheikh Saleh was a good role model for all of us, from whom we draw inspiration from his morals and righteous behavior.”

    With these qualities and noble morals, Sheikh Saleh was able to leave a clear mark on the lives of many who knew him or learned from him, truly being a righteous scholar, a sincere preacher, and a social reformer, whose fragrant memory will remain in the hearts of his loved ones and students.
